Welcome to the UpsellEngine documentation. UpsellEngine adds AI-powered upsell and cross-sell offers across the entire Shopify journey — from the product page to the post-purchase page — for a flat monthly fee with 0% revenue share.

These docs are organized to match how you'll set the app up and use it.

Where to start

If you've just installed the app, begin with Install & onboarding, then enable the surfaces you want to use:

• Getting started — install, enable app embeds, add theme blocks, and turn on checkout and post-purchase surfaces.
• Offers — create and configure offers: placements, triggers, discounts, design, and A/B testing.
• AI recommendations — how the AI pairs products, and how to guide it with manual pairings and exclusions.
• Power features — Profit Optimizer and Inventory Rescue.
• Analytics — the metrics UpsellEngine reports and how to read them.
• Plans & billing — what each plan includes and how billing works.
• Troubleshooting — fixes for the most common questions.

A note on placements

UpsellEngine covers 7+ placements. Most work on any Shopify plan; checkout upsells require Shopify Plus. You can enable as many or as few as you like — start with one, measure it in Analytics, and expand from there.
